I Tau’t Batu sono un
esiguo popolo di soli

dell'isola di Palawan. La loro vita essendo ritmata dalle stagioni, per sfuggire alla furia del monsone, nel periodo delle piogge lasciano le valli per insediarsi nelle

Il trekking
incomincia a Ràtsan:
dopo aver reclutato sette portatori inizio a percorrere la prima parte
del sentiero che spero mi porti, dopo alcuni giorni, in contatto
con quello sparuto gruppo di persone. Sono trascorsi tre giorni da quando ho lasciato l’Holiday Resòrt ed ho già acquisito, in sintonia con la natura, il ritmo delle
cose che mi circondano. Poiché gli zaini sono troppo pesanti, durante il tragitto arruolo al mio seguito anche un indigeno, Dàron, che si sta rivelando
un’indispensabile e preziosa guida.

Tau’t Batù are a small

The
trek began from Ràtsan:

I discover a large cave where there is some Tau’t Batù, one is lighting a fire and another is looking around for snails to eat as a quick snack. I help them in their preparation and spend a good
half an hour frozen in concentration, moved, but content. My search has ended well! .....
